Brunette Vs. Blonde

As of the date of this blog posting, 88 percent polled think that Nicole Richie looks better as a brunette. With this I would not agree, and Audrina Patridge seems to be also in the same hair color changing mood. Examining both of their newest hair colors, I think it makes them look old. I would assume that was not their intentions. Nicole looks scorn in her photo that The Hollywood Gossip posted. Maybe her hair color mood was just another Richie moment. Audrina did not look well either. Her stylist took her hair color to dark as well as to cool. It makes her look somewhat Goth. What were you two beautiful women thinking?

So why are we writing about this? It is because this time of year, when the weather becomes a bit depressing, women think they want to darken up their hair color. Advice to the wise, don’t do it! Not to say that you cannot soften out some of those beached out pieces, but heed caution because you do not have the funds as the celebrities possess to change it back once you have outlived that mood. A good rule of thumb would be to purchase a brunette wig, and wear it to create a sensation. Letting Vanessa out to play is what I call it. When you are bored, voilà, your hair is still blonde for your eyes comfort as well as for your husband, boyfriend or girlfriend.

Now, for some it is a financial decision. Yes, up keep is high and one’s wallet should never be burdened upon. Rent and food always come before your hair. For those of you that fall into this category may I suggest erasing the majority of the lightness from your hair, and keep just a bit for contrast. No one wears solid hair color these days. Besides, when the dark color starts to fade, it is going to look unpleasing. Think of it as preventative maintenance before it become damage control.

Winter demands increased conditioning for the hair. Moisture should be your friend to ward off dry dull hair color as well as static electricity. Investing in your hair care is a must to maximize your hair color especially when going darker. Hollywood forgets to point those important details out, and as an added bonus truth, going darker with your hair color will not make you smarter. Sorry Nicole, but that tweet indicates that you really are a blonde after all. We give it a few months, and predict she will be back with blonde hair. Soon after she has delivered.
